Communications and Digital Platform Fellow

Location: Hybrid (preferably Ahmedabad)

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field

Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in social media management and communications.

  • Position Overview:
    The Communications Manager will be responsible for crafting and implementing the communication strategy for the Centre for Grower-Centric Eco-Value Mechanisms. This role involves amplifying the Centre’s vision, engaging diverse stakeholders, and creating impactful narratives that highlight the Centre's initiatives and achievements. The ideal candidate will have good skills in writing, copy editing, social media, UX/UI development, website development and management and additionally have a strong passion for environmental sustainability, farmers’ empowerment, and innovative eco-value mechanisms.

  • Skills: 

  • Proven expertise in content creation, media relations, and digital marketing.

  • Strong understanding of environmental and grower-centric issues is highly desirable.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi; proficiency in other regional languages is a plus.

  • Creative storytelling and strong writing/editing abilities.

  • Strategic thinking and ability to align communication goals with organizational objectives.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.

  • Proficiency in using digital marketing tools, analytics, and multimedia software.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Profile
  • Strategic Communication Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with the Centre’s mission and objectives.

  • Identify and engage key audiences, including growers, policymakers, investors, NGOs, and the general public.

  •  

  • Content Creation and Management:

  • Support in developing UI/UX for the platform that the centre is developing.

  • Write, edit, and manage high-quality content for press releases, newsletters, blogs, and social media platforms.

  • Develop compelling case studies and success stories that showcase the centre’s work.

  • Oversee the creation of multimedia content, such as videos, infographics, and presentations.

  •  

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, industry partners, and other stakeholders.

  • Facilitate communication between farmers, researchers, and policymakers to ensure alignment and collaboration.

  • Digital Marketing and Online Presence:

  • Manage the Centre’s website and social media channels, ensuring content is current, engaging, and impactful.

  • Use analytics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and refine strategies.

  •  

  • Event Management:

  • Plan and execute events, workshops, and webinars that promote the Centre’s initiatives and achievements.

  • Represent the Centre at conferences, forums, and other external engagements.

  •  

  • Crisis Communication:

  • Develop and implement crisis communication strategies to address challenges proactively and transparently.
