Position Summary: The Programme Specialist – Enterprise will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring entrepreneurship and livelihood initiatives aimed at promoting self-employment and sustainable enterprise development among youth and community members. The role involves identifying potential entrepreneurs, facilitating training, enabling market and credit linkages, mentoring beneficiaries, and ensuring effective programme execution, documentation, and impact tracking. The position requires strong stakeholder coordination, field engagement, and strategic support to strengthen enterprise ecosystems within the project area.
Strong understanding of entrepreneurship development, micro-enterprise models, and livelihood promotion.
Knowledge of market assessment, value chains, and small business operations.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to mentor and motivate first-generation entrepreneurs.
Experience in training, capacity building, and community mobilization.
Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools for programme tracking.
Willingness to travel extensively within project areas.
Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
Self-driven professional with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Profile
Lead planning and implementation of enterprise development activities under the programme.
Identify and support potential entrepreneurs, SHG members, and youth for self-employment opportunities.
Design and deliver entrepreneurship development training, business orientation sessions, and financial literacy workshops.
Facilitate market linkages, vendor connections, and business networking opportunities for beneficiaries.
Support preparation of business plans, project reports, and loan documentation for enterprise setup.
Coordinate with financial institutions, banks, NBFCs, and relevant stakeholders for credit linkage.
Monitor enterprise performance and provide handholding support for business growth and sustainability.
Maintain programme data, reports, success stories, and impact documentation.
Collaborate with internal teams, training partners, and local institutions for effective programme delivery.Conduct field visits to monitor progress, mentor entrepreneurs, and resolve implementation challenges.
Ensure compliance with programme guidelines, timelines, and reporting requirements.
