Position Summary: Aga Khan Rural Support Program (India) invites application for the post of Program Specialist- “Animal Husbandry” Netrang Region. Skills:
Sound knowledge of procurement systems, compliance, and vendor management, preferably in the development sector.

Willingness to travel to cluster offices and project locations as required

Job Profile
Design and implement activities that promote improved livestock management practices.
Support farmers in establishing backward and forward linkages in backyard poultry, goat rearing, and milch cattle.
Develop projects and interventions aimed at enhancing livestock productivity.
Establish and strengthen supply chain and value chain systems for livestock-related enterprises.
Provide comprehensive support and training to field teams involved in livestock projects.
Liaise effectively with donors and relevant government departments.
Conduct procurement and budget analysis to ensure efficient program implementation.
Analyze data and document impactful case studies.
Monitor program progress and offer constructive suggestions to improve outcomes.
Conduct program impact assessments and document the findings.
Oversee and manage all procurement processes—from planning to contract finalization—for head office and organization-wide high-value procurements.
Coordinate with program, administration, and finance teams to prepare procurement plans and budgets.
Maintain and regularly update a database of reliable vendors and service providers.
Demonstrate proficiency in using modern technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Provide training and capacity-building support to field staff, village leaders, and representatives from government and non-government organizations.
Monitor budgets, prepare reports, and ensure high-quality documentation.
Prepare program proposals with a deep understanding of project areas, associated issues, and challenges.
Ensure timely reporting to donors in English, with support from field teams and research and monitoring units.
Manage and organize necessary field data and photographs required for donor reporting.
Actively participate in initiatives related to Green Enterprise development.
Undertake any additional tasks assigned by AKRSP (I) management.
