Programme Specialist -Livestock

Location: Madhepura District of Bihar

Education: Postgraduate degree in Management

Experience: 2-3 years in the development sector candidates having prior experience in working with livestock management

Skills & Competencies required
  • Strong knowledge of Livestock

  • In-depth understanding of monitoring, evaluations, and reporting functions, especially in the context of CBO

  • Good training and Facilitation Skills 

  • Good Liaison Skill

  • Community Centric & Team handling

  • Experience in Marketing, FPO and Capacity Building 

  • Fluency in both oral and written communication in English & Hindi

Job Profile
  • Innovate design and Implement efforts towards strengthening processes & activities formulated under different projects for Livestock programme

  • Carefully understand the programmes and different project, areas of the programme its issues, and challenges

  • Understand the team with whom to coordinate the implementation in the field

  • Training of the team on various fronts of Improved Animal Health Management 

  • Support in Community mobilization activities at village level.

  • Ability to manage the team of community-level volunteers (CF) and Pashu Sakhis.

  • Ensuring maintenance of MIS and preparing the MIS parameters.

  • Preparation of quarterly/half yearly/annual reports for organizational purpose 

  • Ensuring maintenance of all documentation related to the program.

  • Review and monitoring of Program, finance, and administration.

  • Identification and documentation of best practices.

  • Sharing of our best practices /efforts to the concerned Govt. department

  • Invite the concerned government officials to our program events.

  • Efforts for conversion of the government schemes in program

  • Maintain good relationships with stakeholders and Govt. line departments.

  • Any other task assigned by AKRSP (I) management.
