The CONSULTANT will be responsible for overall strategic planning, business operations, and financial growth of the FPO. The role includes developing market linkages, improving farmer benefits, and ensuring shareholders, sustainable agricultural practices, Organic Farming and agribusiness practices.

Job Profile
1. Business Development & Market Linkages
Identify and develop new business opportunities for the FPO.
Establish linkages with buyers, retailers, processors, and government agencies.
Ensure smooth procurement, aggregation, and sale of produce from member farmers.
Explore opportunities for value addition and branding of FPO products.
2. Financial Management & Compliance
Ensure proper financial management and accounting as per statutory requirements.
Prepare and oversee budgets, cash flow, and financial reports.
Facilitate access to working capital, credit, and government schemes for the FPO.
Ensure timely submission of compliance reports to regulatory bodies.
3. Operations & Supply Chain Management
Oversee procurement, storage, and logistics for agricultural produce.
Implement best practices for quality control, warehousing, and packaging.
Optimize operational costs and improve efficiency.
4. Farmer Engagement & Capacity Building
Conduct regular meetings and training sessions for shareholders/member farmers.
Educate farmers about better production practices, market trends, and financial literacy.
Ensure active participation of shareholders in decision-making processes.
5. Strategic Planning & Organizational Growth
Develop short-term and long-term business strategies for the FPO.
Work towards increasing shareholder membership and expanding business operations.
Identify and leverage government schemes, grants, and private funding opportunities.
6. Human Resource & Team Management
Recruit, train, and manage FPO staff.
Build a motivated team to drive FPO operations efficiently.
7. Policy Advocacy & Networking
Represent the FPO in government meetings, industry forums, and with stakeholders.
Collaborate with Agriculture University, NGOs, banks, research institutions, and policymakers for farmer welfare.
