Position Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for leading and managing day-to-day HR operations, ensuring efficient processes across recruitment, payroll, contracts, onboarding, performance management, HRIS, and exits. This role ensures that HR activities across HQ and state offices are aligned with organizational strategy, compliant with statutory requirements, and delivered effectively to support both field and HQ teams.
Desirable:
Experience working in HR under donor funded projects.
Familiarity with HR related digital tools/ATS.
Preferred Attributes:
Strong understanding of HR processes: recruitment, payroll, HRIS, onboarding, performance management employee engagement, and exits.
Excellent communication, and coordination skills
Ability to manage diverse team.
Analytical skills for HR data interpretation and reporting.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices.
Willingness to travel to state offices as required.

Job Profile
1. Talent Acquisition
Plan, coordinate, and monitor the end-to-end recruitment process across HQ and state offices.
Oversee sourcing, shortlisting, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
Ensure timely closure of all open positions in alignment with organizational requirements.
Supervise and support the HR Officer in recruitment operations.
2. HR Operations & HRIS
Maintain and update HR records and HRIS data (attendance, leave, employee database).
Ensure accuracy of employee records, contracts, and compliance documentation.
Prepare HR MIS reports and dashboards for leadership.
Implement process improvements to enhance HR efficiency.
3. Payroll & Contract Management
Oversee monthly payroll processing.
Ensure timely salary disbursement, statutory compliance, and deductions.
Supervise contract creation, renewals, amendments, and maintenance of HR files.
4. Onboarding & Induction
Ensure all new hires complete joining formalities and documentation.
Conduct or coordinate inductions, including HR policy orientation, POSH awareness, and organizational values.
Track induction timelines and ensure timely completion for all new employees.
5. Performance Management
Provide support to HR Lead in managing the performance appraisal cycle.
Coordinate with line managers and state HR Officers to ensure timely and accurate appraisals.
Support training and development needs identified through performance reviews.
6. Employee Exit & Retention
Supervise exit procedures, including clearance, exit interviews, and full & final settlements.
7. Compliance and Audit
Oversee timely submission of PF, ESIC, LWF etc.
Responsible for Audits
8. Team management
Manage and provide guidance to reportees.
Ensure uniform implementation of HR policies and procedures across HQ and state offices.
Provide operational support to the HR Lead and contribute to strategic HR initiative
